Hack a Toilet for free water.

video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kulnVSG0FY
instructions: http://www.instructables.com/id/Hack-a-Toilet-for-free-water./

This is awesome... since toilet flushing contributes to 30% of the total household usage, people are being creative to save water for using toilets. There are water dams, water tank banks, low-flow toilets.. etc.. but by far i think this is the most creative while keeping the cost low. You don't have to change your toilet for this one.

Fiji Water

Today i saw someone using a Fiji water bottle. i thought it really looked beautiful, and i love the graphics on it. But then when i saw this article, i was shocked...

1Kg bottle of Fiji water
= 26.88kg of water
= .849kg fossil fuel
= 526kg green house gas

The cost to produce and deliver a bottle of imported water is $0.22, leaving $1.28 per bottle profit for the manufacturer and the retail store.

Do you have any green confessions?
