Building Together

Found these photographs when I organized my pictures. They were taken on a trip to the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre located in Kowloon Park. This exhibition titled Building Together: 160 Years of Hong Kong-French Common Heritage & Perspectives, was available to the public during September 12th, 2008 to February 11th, 2009.

Some of the signages

The architectural part plays the main role in this exhibition, but I was more fascinated with actual items from the past (see below).

Prints

Embroidery work done by Sisters and orphans in St Paul's Convent

School Yearbook 1967

Proverbes de la langue cantonnaise: recueillis ca et la (Cantonese Proverbs)

The exterior

The most common bird you see in HK are the sparrows.
They got lots of different species of birds (cageless) at the Kowloon Park,
which makes this visit quite enjoyable.

This month's Monocle featured the world's top 25 most liveable cities:
Zurich came first (I LOVE Switzerland!)
and Vancouver came 14th.
I miss home.

Fiat Eco:Drive

Not a huge fan of driving anymore though i do miss the wheels.
Here's a recent nicely done advertisement from AKQA.
Although it could be arguably greenwashing, I love the color, animation, infographics and most of all, the narrator's voice.
